Originally established in 2018 as the Nortek Foundation, the organisation now continues its mission as the General Oceans Foundation. The Foundation works with partners around the world to design and implement practical approaches that improve ocean health. Using technology and research, supported by outreach and community engagement, we develop solutions that lead to measurable, real-world outcomes. We also provide opportunities for interested employees from across the General Oceans Group to engage with our activities and become advocates for healthier oceans.    ## How We Work Our work is project driven and focuses on Foundation-led initiatives developed and delivered with strategic partners. Although we are not operating an external grant program at this time, we are open to exploring collaboration opportunities that support our mission. ## Our Team Our work is led by a dedicated team who bring a broad range of experience, expertise, and passion to advancing our mission and supporting positive impact for our oceans. ![Hayley circle BW](https://www.generaloceansfoundation.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Hayle%20circle%20BW.png?width=1280&height=1280&name=Hayle%20circle%20BW.png) ### Hayley Craig, PhD Foundation Lead [LinkedIn](http://www.linkedin.com/in/hayley-craig-phd) # Board of Directors ![Atle circle BW](https://www.generaloceansfoundation.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Atle%20circle%20BW.png?width=1205&height=1205&name=Atle%20circle%20BW.png) ### Atle Lohrmann Chairman ![imageedit\_2\_8714509567](https://www.generaloceansfoundation.com/hs-fs/hubfs/imageedit_2_8714509567.png?width=472&height=473&name=imageedit_2_8714509567.png) ### Jannicke Koch-Hagen Board Member ![500x500-00000000](https://www.generaloceansfoundation.com/hs-fs/hubfs/500x500-00000000.png?width=500&height=500&name=500x500-00000000.png) ### William Lohrmann Board Member [![GO-Foundation\_Concept new 2025 - white](https://www.generaloceansfoundation.com/hs-fs/hubfs/GO-Foundation_Concept%20new%202025%20-%20white.png?width=175&height=97&name=GO-Foundation_Concept%20new%202025%20-%20white.png "GO-Foundation_Concept new 2025 - white")](https://www.generaloceansfoundation.com?hsLang=en) Registered address: Vangkroken 2, 1351 Rud, Norway.
